Back to the Future?

Yes it looks weird, blunt and like a LEGO block, but my 8 year old nephew said he likes it. On probing more, he said that its looked like something unreal had come to life. Well he got that part right. I mean after seeing the Model X, Model 3 et al, who would have thought Elon Musk will introduce such a radically designed new model and that too a truck!

The unique and uncanny design that the Tesla Cyber Truck boasts of are just a few things that sets it apart from the crowd. The end to end lighting element and equally new styling elements at the rear puts the finishing touches to the rather polarizing design. 

Tesla says that the truck can take 9mm bullets thanks to the 30X cold-rolled stainless steel. The chassis sits on an adaptive air suspension that can be adjusted on the fly. It can accommodate 6 passengers and has a u-shaped steering wheel with a large 17" floating display accompanying it. 

Coming to the numbers, the entry model, with a single motor is good for 400 km on a single charge. The 2-motor all-wheel drive set up in the mid model can do 480 km and the top of the like 3-motor set up easily go 800 km on a single charge and hit 100 km from a standstill in 2.9 seconds.  

The Cybertruck goes into production early 2021 and it has gained a lot popularity all thanks to its unconventional design. The troll community is having a blast which in fact is helping Tesla get more PR mileage for its Back to the Future style Cybertruck than any other model in its roster. Starting at $39,000, the Cybertruck has already garnered some 1,46,000 orders as of today. Not bad eh.
